Why this conference?

This year the conferences will be held for two FULL days of great content at each location!

Speaker ListThis is a gathering like no other of the world's leading Christian apologists? You won't find more great Christian thinkers teaching in one place at once time than at the National Conference on Christian Apologetics. (see Speaker List). There will be lectures on Apologetics, Theology, Discernment, Church Leadership and Discipleship, Evangelism, Islam, and issues affecting the family such as Women's Issues, Abortion, Same-Sex Marriage, Euthanasia, Bio-Ethics, and more (see Schedule).

This event is also designed to equip the Spanish speaking church. There will be workshops on Friday taught directly in Spanish. Additionally, the Main Stage plenary sessions will be translated live into Spanish. Tell your friends about this great opportunity to impact the growing Spanish speaking population.

Defending Faith and Family
Family

The Family and Church are God's fundamental building blocks for society. Without solid families and strong Christian underpinnings the breakdown in culture will be rapid and devastating. Christians may be tempted to be discouraged as we look at the societal chaos produced by the collapse of the family. Without right thinking on faith and family, society will be riddled with problems. What is the answer? Families are built on one's view of God and truth. One's view of God will inform every area of life including the family.

Are your views of God and family true or just your opinion? That is, do your ideas of Faith and Family correspond to reality?

Join us at this conference as we examine the roots of good thinking about God and family. Is Christianity a feeling or is it fact supported by science, psychology, theology, ethics, metaphysics, and more? Examine the evidence for the truth of Christianity. Learn about the false ideas that are undermining the family and how to correct them. World class teachers, including the faculty of Southern Evangelical Seminary, will teach you how to explain and defend biblical views on abortion, same-sex marriage, concepts of human nature, and more that Christians face in today's fast moving world. Gain confidence in the foundational thinking behind a clear and consistent biblical worldview.

Christianity is inseparable from good thinking, good thinking results from good teaching, and good teaching starts in the family.

Come to NCCA 2010 East Coast or Mid-America and hear the best Christian thinkers of our day inspire and teach you how to strengthen your faith as you explore apologetics and its impact on the family.

We strongly believe that apologetics integrated into Christian thinking (theology) is essential not only in your personal relationship with Jesus, but also in your family.  We should not expect a great move of God to happen in this age without the strengthening of the family. This will affect church discipleship, evangelism, societal stability, and revival.

Therefore, it is necessary that families repent of intellectual laziness and begin to embrace the mind God has given us and promote the apologetics enterprise from within their homes. This conference is about just that--the integration of apologetics and the family.

Apologetics - An Ancient Call
Throughout history followers of Christ have been called on to defend the faith and family when it was under attack. Men like the Apostle Paul, Justin Martyr, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, and C.S. Lewis answered the call. Apologetics is not new. It may have fallen out of view for the modern Christian, but apologetics is an ancient trust given by God. There is no less need to proclaim the truth of the Gospel today. Just look at events around you. The resurrection of Jesus, biblical authority, moral absolutes, the existence of God, and the very building blocks of society--families--are being attacked. Apologetics is the Christian discipline dealing with these very issues. It is time for champions of the cause to step forward. It is time for a movement within the church to "proclaim and defend." Similarly, the family is called to meet the challenges to Christianity. So, come to NCCA 2010 to begin Defending Faith and Family .

Exponential Impact
Let's look at the potential for change from this conference this way:
2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 40
220 = 1,048,567
If this conference impacts only you, perhaps we have helped strengthen several thousand people. But, if this conference equips you and your family, and your family equips your church, and your church reaches your community, millions might be strengthened in their faith and millions won to the Gospel.

We hope you do not leave this conference having just enlightened and strengthened your faith. Rather, we hope you will leave with a vision and a plan for action that will start a fire in your family and, thus, in the world beyond. Come to this year's National
Conference on Christian Apologetics, but prepare to GO.

believes that people desire (and deserve) a reasoned faith.  We believe that Christianity offers exactly that.

SES teaches students to help others process the tough questions, such as "Is God real?,"
"Is the Bible trustworthy?,"  "Was Jesus Christ really authentic?," and "How can a loving God allow pain and suffering?"  We believe that compelling lines of evidence point to the reality and truth of the Christian worldview.

Our National Apologetics Conference is held annually, so that:

  • Christians may be trained to better understand their faith;
  • those struggling with doubts may find answers to their questions;
  • scholars may have a forum in which to present their research
    and the most up-to-date evidence for Christianity;
  • so that churches may receive practical apologetics training
    resulting in congregations being better equipped to meet the
    spiritual needs of the people in their communities.

Above all, SES aspires to rise to the calling of I Peter 3:15, which says:

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to every one
who asks you to give
a reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect."
